Orbit Pharma Laboratories
Orbit Pharma Laboratories began its journey in 1989, when its founder, Mr. N. P. Kikani, along with his partners, acquired land in Chhatral after beginning their work in API manufacturing in Naroda. In 1992, Orbit Pharma Laboratories received its first FDA licence, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Over the years, the company built its expertise through quality manufacturing, job work, and pharmaceutical projects for established organisations.
A significant turning point came in 2010, when Mr. Kunal Kikani joined the business and took an active role in driving its growth. Starting with a capacity of approximately 20–25 KL and an annual turnover of around ₹1.5 crore, Orbit gradually expanded its manufacturing capabilities, infrastructure, product portfolio, and market presence. From introducing its first product, Diclofenac, in 2010 to expanding into a wider range of APIs and intermediates, Orbit has continuously strengthened its capabilities. The company has also built long-term relationships with leading pharmaceutical organisations and developed a strong presence in regulated markets.
In 2020, the partnership firm was converted into Orbit Pharma Laboratories LLP, with Mr. Kunal Kikani, Mr. N. P. Kikani, and Mrs. S. M. Kikani as partners. In 2024, the company transitioned into Orbit Pharma Laboratories Limited. Today, Orbit has a team of approximately 150 people, approvals and vendor qualifications from more than 100–150 companies, and a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical products and intermediates.
With continuous investments in infrastructure, technology, quality systems, and new molecules, Orbit Pharma is building the foundation for its next phase of growth.
